Spring STEM after school programs for kids in Brooklyn give children opportunities to explore science, experiment with new ideas, and build confidence through hands-on learning. Brooklyn Science Spot’s Winter 2027 Session features engaging STEM and STEAM classes designed for children of different ages and interests.
From chemistry and cooking experiments to mystery matter and exciting chemical reactions, each class encourages children to ask questions, make discoveries, solve problems, and learn through active participation. Families can choose from several winter science classes offered on select weekdays from March through June.

Roar, Roar Dinosaur: (Playgroup)
Welcome to the world of creepy crawlers. Explore and observe critters like pill bugs, mega mealworms, earthworms, caterpillars, wax worms, and yes, even the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach. Take home bug glasses and see through an insect’s eyes. Wrap your body in an exoskeleton and understand why insects are a walking shield of armor. Like fireflies, make your own model firefly and make it glow in the dark. Make your own insect habitat, and explore what it’s really like living the life of a bug. All this and more, next creepy crawly session.
